Project Description
Knox City Council – Reflective & Waterproof Roof Membrane
Cocoon Coatings was involved in an energy initiative program with Knox City Council. The council was aware that their energy usage was very high and that they needed to take action. As part of a wholistic approach Knox installed LED and ran a program to change the behaviours of staff. This included better use of window blinds, appropriate use of windows to maintain optimum temperatures and lighting used when required.
When Cocoon Coatings applied an infrared-reflective and waterproof membrane to the roof, further reductions were achieved, an additional energy savings was $30,000.00 pa ongoing. Upon recent inspection 8 years after installation the membrane is still in great condition.
