Project Description
Government Grant Restores School Roof – Mt Waverley Secondary College
After becoming aware of a state government grant for capital works, Cocoon approached a number of schools to see if there was interest in a cool roof. Mount Waverley Secondary College had been looking for leaking roof repair solutions as well as a remedy for heat load in their library and music faculty buildings where air conditioning was struggling to keep pace with demand on hot days. A cool roof seemed to be the very solution.
In collaboration, the school and Cocoon submitted a successful grant application which covered the full cost of the installation of our membrane. As a result of the leaking roof repair the roof is now watertight and much cooler on hot days meaning happier staff and students.
